Restoration and hardfacing processes allow worn or damaged components to be resurfaced or rebuilt to the original condition without costly replacement and sometimes with increased wear resistance.
PPI can restore parts in two ways:
Dimensional Restoration
A component is restored to its original condition by rebuilding the part with the same or similar material. Restoring a part to its original condition is economically beneficial as it eliminates the need to purchase a replacement. Steel, aluminum, superalloy, and bronze components can be restored without weld distortion.
Hardface coating
A component is not only restored to desired dimensions, but is actually rebuilt and improved over the original condition by using a Hard Facing Coating. When a part becomes damaged, restoration by applying a Hard Face coating is not only economically beneficial but contributes to increased wear resistance and extended life.
